Hi Troy! I have not heard anything as of yet...but I would think that the shells might be not to complex to construct from scratch?

OK, made a bit more progress on this one. I am getting that much closer to buttoning up the interior.

Some last minute detailing in the office

Engine mounted....

I still have a couple of tiny interior pieces to paint up before slapping the sides on but there is always time for a good mock up!

Juuuuuuuust about there!! LOL!!

I have something really cool for this build - Inside the Armour's FT-17 Detail Set.

This is a great little upgrade for this kit! It comes with some nice resin pieces and a PE sheet.

I have a review for this set right here on Armorama: http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=9688

While I finished some cleaning of some parts I decided to break into this set and take a break from the cave for the night. SO I should have some more pics soon once I get around to putting the exterior together!!

That's it for the moment....thank for swinging by!!

Great finish on the drive train there, T. Looks exactly as one might expect it would after some hard use.

Well, one more holiday weekend behind us!! With that I finally get a little free time to make a post here on this one!

I finished up the last couple of small bit for the inside.

First time I had a go at the Model Air Metallic...I think I like em!

The side come together!!

Time to concentrate on some of the exterior now.

The Inside the Armour brackets for the soon to be PE tool box

That's it for the moment. Next up more exterior, running gear and oh yeah, the turret.

Thanks for having a LQQY!!

Finally I am getting around to adding another update to this one!! Sometimes things just pop up that need dealing with!

So, while I work the exterior a bit more trying to get this one paint worthy I played around with the interior and some of the tools.

Inside the Armour's Detail set adding a cleaner, more detailed look to the 37mm gun.

A little work on the tools...

OK...back to gluing some parts back together!!

Thanks for stopping in!!

Really nice effects on the tool heads, T. That's a look I've been trying for but just haven't been able to capture, yet.

Thanks Fellas! Sorry for the late reply. I guess this is how long it takes to get back on the horse from Christmas!

After a little break to tend to some other items, I have put this one into a schedule. Not wasting to much time then, on to the update!

The turret parts are all cleaned and I was able to get the interior color down!

Next on the turret parts with be some chipping and detail painting...should have something to show on this soon!

I managed to get the Inside the Armour tool box together. You can see the molded kit part with the new part in this picture...huge improvement I think!

I made up the straps that attach to the ITA Supplied resin brackets.

Next I managed to clean up the suspension and running gear.

The ITA Resin Replacement idlers and number castings.

A quick mock up to check how she stands

Next on the list is to get some interior washing of the turret, glue things together and finish some tracks I have been neglecting!!

Thanks for swinging by!!

I've just discovered this thread and I have to say that i'm completely hooked!

There really is some incredible work being presented here which you REALLY have to submit as a permament Feature piece - it'd be criminal to have this only within the Fórums.

IMO, this is precisely the kind of vehicle which should be released in 1/16th - it's not too big but sufficiently interesting to super-detail.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the kind words Jim! There is a feature in the planning at some point in the near future!! Of course I need to actually finish this first...LOL!! I agree, this was perfect for the scale! Shame they stopped production of the kit...for the moment anyway!

WOO HOO!! I can proceed now!! My new wheel came in. Not sure how I lost the first one and it has not turned up as yet...but then again, the project is not over yet. I bet it rolls out the day I finish!!

Anyway, Steve from Celticwerks Casting Source came through with flying colors!! http://www.celticwerks.net/

Well, finally getting the chance to get around to a little update on this one. I recently had surgery and although I have a bit of down time The pain and lack of being able to walk too well at the moment have kept me from the bench to work on the big stuff. I did manage to con the wife into grabbing this kit out of the cave though. After a little poking and prodding I was able to get this one together and ready for paint.

The only thing left is the small Inside the Armour staps for the tools to go on but Since the tools are painted already, I do need to be able to remove them. Also, before someone brings it up..LOL, the one painted and chipped door...yeah, not sure what I was on the day I painted the interiors of the doors, but I hit the exterior of this one rather than the inside...it happens!!

Next stop will be the booth with this as soon as the nurse (my wife) allows me to venture down into the cave. She runs a tight ship in the recovery department...couple weeks I figure at this point!

Thanks for taking the time to swing in an have a peek! See you soon!

Listen to the boss because your health is more important than rushing to get back to modeling.

It'll still be there when you are ready.

Looking great Todd!

I got the 1/35 version ordered and will definitely use your build as inspiration!
