This is my first campaign attempt, so I'm seeking some patience with my computer illiteracy. I seem to be having temporary issues trying to download the ribbon. Working on it, though.

Enlisted, I fancy the Eduard Spitfire F22/24 in raspberry ripple colours of the Empire Test Pilots School. What could be more British than that?

Thanks for signing up, Andrew. I'm familiar with the raspberry ripple scheme; didn't know it was applied to the Spitfire though. Should be very colorful.

I'm actually glad this campaign will take place over the winter months, as thats the peak modeling season

Haven't checked Aeroscale for a while, so I'm a little late in enlisting. Still haven't decided which aircraft exactly, but probably a P40? Hopefully I remember about this campaign when it actually starts.

Thanks for signing up, Mark.
There's lots of time to choose a kit. I'm betting that some wonderful new choices will be out by the campaign start; like perhaps, KittyHawks new Banshee. And don't forget all the new-tools Airfix has been treating us to lately.

Nico, I was hoping France would get in on the mix. The Armee de l'Air is among the originating airforces, I believe formed prior to WWI. Ever since then, they have had such wonderful aircraft.
Welcome to the campaign, Nico.

It sure would qualify. Any US aircraft or helicopter in your case, as your sign-in profile shows the American flag.

And thanks for taking interest

With members from these nations enlisted, I'm sure this will be a colorful campaign.

There are so many more out there.

With only 10-1/2 more months to go , I thought a weekend bump back to the first page was in order. More roundels need to be added to that picture in the previous post.

Ben,

I changed my mind on the subject. Instead of EH 101 Heli, I'm gonna make a special edition AlphaJet from Wingman 1/48, dressed in the squadron's 50 years commemorative painting. I'll post some shots of it when the box arrives home.

It really would be nice to have other less frequently seen national insignias in this campaign... Any Polish, Swedish or Indian modeller out there? (i could go on listing other countries for quite awhile )

Cheers
Pedro

I could join in - would be limited though to license-built Lockheed stuff and Spitfires ... don't expect any sexy-looking Tomcats or Hornets from me ...

I'm so pleased that a Swedish roundel can be added to the list.

There are still so many nations that have such a proud flying heritage, such as Germany, Holland, Switzerland, New Zealand, Isreal, Russia, and Italy to name but a few. Not forgetting the colorful aircraft of South American, Middle Eastern and African nations.

Killian - I'm certain Belgium had major input into the Great War and continued with outstanding aircraft through today; inclusive of Hurricanes, Buffalo's, C-130's and C-119's; T-33's, F-104's and F-16's. Not yet even touching on civilian aircraft. All you have to do is press the enlist button, and then build something in your nations colors. No need for a sad face

No, but you could confuse people with a sexy looking CF-100, complete with goedendags on the intakes

Belgium built the highly regarded Hanriot scout during WW1 (Eduard do a kit in 1/48) Avions Fairey set up manufacturing in Belgium and a number of types were built there including a very elegant two seat Tipsy Trainer (looks like a Magister) and tiny aerobatic Nipper and I think some Battles. If you don't mind the rigging I'd build the Hanriot, or I have a set of Belgian decals for the Nieuport aces from Belgium but I'm not sure if any were built in Belgium. A Belgian company D-Motor is currently making a very neat compact 80hp flat 4 engine with side valves but modern induction and ignition systems. Aviation in Belgium lives! And the Stampe, how did I miss that

Hi all,

I'm in. Representing Ireland, rather limited regarding choice of subjects (no F-16s!). Interesting to see if the new Airfix Fouga Magister comes with Irish Air Corps markings ...

This is wonderful. I woke up to see the roundel picture must already be changed to include Belgium's, as a member from that nation has enlisted.

And there is welcome interest from Ireland and Malaysia, both nations having considerable history in the air.

I'm very happy the campaign is headed in the direction I had hoped for.
