Luciano, I've got to be honest, you have more Grumman models, especially Tomcats & Hellcats then my well stocked LHS. All you're missing is a few 1/32 Grumman Cats to complete your collection.

Thank you Joel, I have been eyeing a 1/32 Tomcat but common sense intervenes

I have been keeping my eye open for the Glencoe 1/48 Duck but they seem to be very rare.

Oh heres a pic of a little 1/144 Tomcat project I've been working on which had a set back when I moved in September as the front F-14 had one of it's vertical tails and a glove pylon broken off but they are no where to be found. All the Tomcats are VF-111 from different eras and colour schemes, and as you can see it was almost finished.

Haven't seen much interest in the F7F or F8F. Maybe this is the chance for me to build one of my AMT 1/48 F7Fs or Trumpeter 1/32 F8F. I've always thought that Bearcat was a nice looking kit! 'Course I've got a "few" other possibilities as well, I've always been a big Ironworks fan too.

Michael, My brother posted some pictures a while ago of his 1/32 scale F8F Bearcat. The gloss paint job was done like you would do a gloss finish on a car. It's all hand rubbed paint. The final clear coat was also rubbed out. Needless to say it's what the car guys call a 1 mile deep finish.

It's a spectacular aircraft that has been basically forgotten about.

OOH, now you've got me thinking, I've got a Bearcat and a Panther down here and at least a Tigercat, Cougar, stoof, and maybe even a pair of AF-2's up north...

Mark, there hasn't been much interest in the Grumman campaign for a while. I've even put it on the back burner till spring, as we don't start until July.

At this point I'm definitely building the old Accurate Miniatures F3F-1,and one other aircraft. Just don't have the slightest idea what. Every time I come up with one, I change my mind in a few days.

Yes, these 'out' dates are driving me a bit batty. I'm fairly certain I'll be moving before a July campaign gets underway. I'm ready to go on several campaigns that won't start till mid summer or later.

Vandy-1 Has always been one of my favorites and the Tomcats just looks good in black.

Jessica, those are really great pictures. Your collection of civil aviation is amazing to say the least.

And yes, keeping up interest is important, but July seems like years away. You already know how involved I am with the P-61A-5 Build. I have a real hard time multi tasking as you must have figured out by now.

I agree on the time frame it does seem a long time, but as to my choice of a/c it is the only one on top of my desk so that is the one I will have to go with. I just need to look into my paint stash and either weed out the dried up bottles (clean them out and use for mixing) or add what I will need. I had not thought to check the glue either my bench is in a sorry state, but this campaign will put a fire under my seat to clean up, replinsh, and straighten things up around here. I will need to find some youth group to give the built projects to since there is no room to keep any.
