I have enlisted for this campaign. I normally build WWII aircraft, but for this one i want to do something different.
So if anyone can recommend me a good quarter scale kit of either the F-4 F-14 F-15 F-16 or F-18 that would be great.

Well, the F-14, F-16 and F-18 are all ineligable as they are not used by Japan (apart from the F-2 which is an enlarged F-16 unique to Japan).
For the F-4EJ Hasegawa is your best bet, the new Academy kit isn't available as an "E" model yet. For the F-15J, again Hasegawa is your best bet, although there are other inferior kits available from the likes of Academy and Tamiya.

Also, note that the artist drew the smoking Corsair with the far wing bent correctly, but the near wing bent upside-down.

I noticed Sean, I wanted to show the aircraft and upside down wouldn't be easy..
I didn't noticed the Corsair wings
It was a nice find and a good price at the LHS, there was a 1:72 Zero that was more than twice.. I got this one for 10€ and the Zero was 24 €...
That's about 13USD for the "George" and Zero had a price tag of 31.9 USD...
Anyway I'm hoping to have some fun !!!

I've got to admit, speaking as a JASDF nut, I'm really surprised by how much everyone enlisting is leaning towards WW2 subjects. Seems like 80/20 in their favour.

I just signed in, March suits me well. My decision goes to a Ki-46 "Dinah" as a day interceptor with a 37 mm cannon as "Schräge Musik" and maybe a Ki-45 "Nick", both in quarterscale.

Always had a thing for the YS-11.
Japan MSDF Neptunes and Orions frquently visited Kwajalein. I have no photographic evidence of YS-11s ever being there, so there is a what if element to this build.

That's a very nice kit, except for a fit problem getting the engine nacelles into the wings without gaps. Luckily, this is why the modelling gods invented sheet plastic to be used as shims

OK, I'm back after a years enforced absence (marital split!). Have now got a temporary work area set up, and need to try to rediscover some of the skills I was just starting to build up.
I have a pair of Tamiya 1/48 Ki-84 Hayate "Frank" and a 1/72 Tamiya Aichi Seiran in the stash. I think I'll tackle one of the Franks if that's ok.
