The model looks great Les. Good work, as always. I'm ready to see it finished, how about you? Russell

Russell,
Yes, I too really want to see how this one will turn out since I don't build many Japanese planes.

The weathering on this model is something I am taking my time on, the way I prefer to add weathering to a model is to add some and then set the model aside for a little while and return to it later with fresh eyes.
My goal for this model is to make it look well used but not totally worn out so I must proceed with caution because if you add too much weathering its not always possible to remove it but I also want the weathering effects to still be visable after the model has its last coat of flat clear on it.

This model will be finished very soon, I already put on most of the small exterior parts and am getting it ready for the last flat clear coat.
I am really looking forward to seeing how this one will look in my airfield pictures.

This is it...there will be no more in-progress pics of this model since I am so very close to getting it finished.
Very little left to do on it right now, it will be getting the final flat clear coat and then will have to sit a day to dry.

Thanks Shawn and Russell!

In a day or three I should have pics of the finished model.

I started pulling off some of the masked off clear parts and there are a couple goofs here and there so its not as good as I wanted.

I wouldn't worry about it too much Les, I've yet to build a perfect model. Few people if any do. Russell

Russell,
I am not worried about a little goof here and there, I build for the fun of it and not for contest judges.
If I ever did build a perfect model I might be tempted to quit while I was ahead.

Ive really enjoyed reading about this build. Its given me alot of ideas on how to tackle the weathering of the upper surface green paint of a Zero im building for the Fighters campaign.
