Hi guys,

I know the site had to be rebuilt a little while ago (thanks for tackling that monumental task!), but I'm wondering if there are still some lingering issues with the way ads and other components are being displayed. Lately, the left column of adds doesn't fully display (I only see the one for Plastic Models Store.com and then two blank boxes below that) and on the homepage the "Kitmaker Links" box in the lower left also appears out of place...it rides down low bumping into the ad space at the bottom of the page.

I checked this out in Chrome, Firefox and Safari and it appears the same way in all three. Recently I installed adblock plus on Chrome but it didn't seem to work all that well so I uninstalled it. Seems that I started having problems shortly after that but that shouldn't have effected Safari and Firefox (which I only use occasionally). Also, the site periodically gets hung up when loading. Again, this happens in all three browsers.

Just wondering if this is a site problem or if something is broken on my computer that is causing all three browsers to interpret the site incorrectly. Is anyone else experiencing these kinds of problems? This is the only site on which they seem to occur for me.

Thanks.

Sorry, just realized this is probably posted in the wrong forum...probably should be in Site Talk. Jim, feel free to move this.

Thanks again.

Don the advert issue is your end as the advert blocker you had is still blocking them. I cannot help with unblocking them sorry.

Thanks Darren. Any idea how this could be effecting other browsers? Particularly Safari since it has no ad blocking software at all.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to trouble-shoot this it would be much appreciated. Can't for the life of me figure out how all three browsers would be seeing the same problem if it's related to ad-blocker on only one of them.

Thanks in advance.

Learning that this was not a site problem got me thinking a bit harder about what could be causing this. I remembered that I had VirusBarrier X6 installed and started digging around in there. It was updated recently and apparently the built-in banner ad-blocker (which I didn't know it had) had gotten much more aggressive following this update. I turned it off and back came the ads on Armorama. Why it was really only effecting this site and not others I can't say, but that seemed to have solved it.

While I don't mind a few ads here and there, I'm reminded of just how many there are all over my favorite site and almost wish I could set the visibility level to "some" rather than "all or nothing". Having all ads blocked seemed to negatively effect my loading speed while having none blocked speeds things up but is a bit hard on the eyes, what with all that colorful, flashing, moving boxes around the edges. Still, small price to pay I guess to view the awesome content here.

Sorry to have posted this before I did a more thorough investigation on my end. Anyway, problem apparently solved. Now if only I had free time to finish my modeling projects....
