Hi Allen,

Congratulations -- an excellent Irving! Your chipping is superb!

Did you use the salt technique for the paint chipping?

What paints did you use for the exterior?

Thanks Fred

Yes I used the Salt weathering technique I posted how I did it Here. All the paints used were Tamiya the green was XF-11 J.N. Green the drop tanks XF-12 J.N. Grey, the Hinomuras were XF-7 Red and the Yellow was XF-3 Yellow mixed with a drop of XF-64 Red Brown.

Hello Mr. Allen

Great job on the "Irving", it's an aircraft I really like, especially with the - copied from the Germans - "Schraege Musik" Gun system on the back of the aircraft

Cheers Nick

Great build, Allen! Love the chipped effect - looks very realistic and not overdone.

Thanks for sharing
