Local mail deliveries, customs inspections, bad neighbours ect cannot be blamed on the vendor. Milo will do everything in his powers to get your order delivered, but some events are out of his control.

Last week, after still nothing, I sent an email directly through the Real Models site. No reply.

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I get what I want? Especially after I was told it would be on it's way.

Sorry, but last time we have many problems with post. many packets return to me as "addressee unknown", "not assumed" and mainly very damaged after airport control (anti terrorist). Therefore many packets lies on airports long time.
For Jwest 21 I send parcel 20th December 2010 and he receive this 19th March. From Europe leaves the next day or two days from the submission package.
Yesterday call me from Custom office about some parcel which I receive back.
I think that also your parcel is here. I don't find some parcels in this time
Naturally I send parcel quickly again to you. Please for your patience.

Not sure if this is what happened to Brian, but he older version of his eShop is still out there and still allows an order to go through. The end result is he gets a paypal payment but nothing from the eShop to tell him what was ordered. You can find your way into it by googling his products and then clicking on the results. I had this happen recently- I was told it shipped on 5-20. Still waiting on it, although thats not unusual when getting packages from Easter Europe

Howdy,

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I've had no luck this year with Real Models.

On February 11, I ordered two items through Paypal. I forgot to tell him what I wanted. That one is on me.

So, after a couple of months I sent a message through the Armorama site asking about it, this time including what the two items were. I got the following message back:

Sent: MAR 25, 2011 - 05:46 AM

Hello
I don't have any your order in my shop. I have only your payment.
If you don't receive confirm order from my shop, your order not adding to shop. Therefore I don't know what you ordering. I send you three email with question about your payment but you emails account return my message back.
Now I know what you ordering. Therefore I can send parcel to you(next week)

Please for future use my new shop:
http://realmodel.cz/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=79&vmcchk=1&Itemid=79

Regards
Miloslav Hraban

I waited. When nothing showed up, I sent another message and got this:

Sent: MAY 12, 2011 - 04:44 AM

Hello,
I could not send a shipment because of your payment, I did not know which items you have ordered. Now, from your e mail I already know what you need. Send parcels this week.
For the future, if not get a confirm email, your order will not be added to the shop. The payments can not know number of items.
Best regards
Miloslav

I have ordered many items from Real Model as well. I have had a 3-4 issues with shipping delays and missed items but everything always worked out in the end. Miloslav has always corrected the problem...sometimes it just takes a while/ The customer service is great and the product is great.

Richard,
I have been ordering from Real Models for a long time. By far the best small company, and the quickest to ship. He also answers his E-Mails quick.

Ordered a Stryker 1127 Recon conversion some time back, when I got to working on it I found the read upper hull was cracked I tried to repair it but it looked like crap. I contacted Milo through this websight and he replaced the upper hull no questions asked! I have ordered several times from him and yes at times it has taken a while to recieve my orders but I have aways received it. I just have to keep in mind that I may not receive my order the next day.

as a Canadian who orders hobby stuff from the US, i've had to deal with customs frequently and it is not outside the occasional shipment to be stuck going through for 8 weeks. i've been told it can be even 10 weeks. usually it takes 2 weeks to pass through customs but i have had packages take super long during holiday seasons.

get a tracking number from the shipper and check its status can be some comfort.

as for the neighbour story, that is just terrible and as mentioned a federal offense that, due to the items being over $1000, would be a huge fine and a crack at jail time. kudos for taking the high road and just moving on. there are unfortunately quite a few bad neighbours, that's why it's important to appreciate the good ones.

cheers to the ones that mow the lawn next door, help shovel snow and pass along mail. bd.

I finally got my order after he shipped it a second time.
The first one is still lost in postal land somewhere.

He has some great products but I'm hesitant to order from him again.

Why? From your description he send you a second piece at his own cost. Depending on the way he mailed it(1) he could have clained "that is a problem between you and the mail guys"

Sounds like great customer service

(1) When my employers mails something, he gets written proof that the goods have been received by the mail company

I hate to break it to your neighbor, but opening mail that is NOT addressed to you is a federal offense. If he didn't want to mess with returning it to you directly, the post office could have been contacted to pick it up. The truth to to the story is that if you received mail addressed to you, but it wasn't meant for you that you can contact the orginator to have it picked up AT THEIR COST. If they decide it isn't worth the hassle, they can refuse. If they do not respond it becomes unclaimed property.

Plain and simple your neighbor was a thief. Was it really delivered to him or he saw it on your door step or mailbox? Fedex and UPS both leave packages on my front steps unless directed otherwise. Also, it could be possible that he was asked to take possession for you and conveniently forgot. Either way, I'd point out to creep that he should be glad you didn't file charges with the postal inspector. $2000 worth of stuff can get some attention.

I had $100 worth of stuff that wasn't shipped by a guy who I discovered was living out of boarding house. I contacted the postal inspector of his city and the guy about crapped when he was contacted. He shipped as promised then. About a week later I discovered he had collected money from about half a dozen individuals but only had the one item that he shipped to me. I was the only one who did anything about it and the only one to receive anything. I personally knew one of the other guys and he was pissed at me that he got ripped off. I told him what to do, but he never took the time to "mess with it".

If it happens again I would check your neighbors dude, I have a neighbor that got a my Xmas packages dropped off at his house, I was going nuts with worry. I called the company and they said it was shipped. Two days after Xmas I see my neighbor, I asked if he had anything dropped off by accident, he said " ahhh yea, no offensive dude, it's just that if someone delivers something to you that it's yours and nobody claims it for 30 days it's yours" I was shocked and really pissed because he had nearly two grand of my stuff sitting on his kitchen table with the shipping boxes opened so he even knew what he thought would soon be his. I don't know how true this law is, but I'll tell ya, it wasn't very honorable of him to knowingly keep it from his own neighbor.

I think I would have said "no offense dude" right before I punched him in the throat.

Hello

I've been buying things Miloslav and for me, is between 3 or 4 best sellers of this hobby. It's fast, friendly, does not stick, in short, among the top 4.

Health and respect,

+ 1 from Russia about Milo's service. All products shipped fast and come to me in time (taking into account awful Russian post service). So real model web shop is highly recommended.

Hi everyone,

I would first like to say that Milo has been awesome in terms of customer service. He never fail to reply any emails. Most of the time almost immediately when I email him. So dun worry about it. He is one you can continue to order from. Did I mention that his stuff are fantabulous too..

Regards,
Des

Has anyone had problems ordering from Realmodel?
I ordered from them several months ago, received half of my order sent Fedex and have been waiting seven weeks for the remainder of my order which they say they sent regular parcel post.

Unfortunately there is no issue with us. More recently (since Christmas) is becoming an issue of packages to the U.S.. One lost, one hit in three months amnoho them is longer than usual. The claim these items, I received a resume, that the delay caused the detailed checks at U.S. airports (bombs, anthrax .....) Of course I understand the controls. As far as FedEx, that's something else, but the price per item is a minimum of 35 USD and that each customer paid. I also a lot of mail returned as unclaimed or addressee unknown. And a fist that such client send repeatedly. I hope you get this shipment next week with no problems.

Richard

Miloslav is really good when it comes to shipping out orders. If something was ordered and unavailable,he might of had to make a new one or a part that was damaged before shipping required replacement. Or, like all hard working guys might have gone on a short vacation. I am sure it is in the post on its way to you.

I have had no issues what so ever with any orders.
