Ok, not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but here goes:
I am in the market for a new printer, our epson just died after 10yrs (poor girl). My wife wants something inexpensive and I want something that can print decals on a limited scale, nothing too fancy or technical. I am hoping some of you have experience printing decals at home and can tell me what I should be looking for and what I should be expecting. Cheers.

G'day Damon,
I have had great success with the Cannon PIXMA series of printers.
Just remember that you can not print any colour bar black, unless it is on white decal paper.

Cheers Jason

Pretty much any photo-quality printer will do a good job on decals. I have a 6 yr old HP Deskjet 6110 All-In-One (print, copy, scan, fax) that cost about $150 then. I'm sure a comparable one for much less now. I have been able to make all sorts of decals on it.

So I just ordered an Epson workforce 60. Supposed to have good text and graphics, so we'll see. Do you all use photoshop or any program when making your decals? Is it necessary? Cheers.

I usually use PowerPoint when making mine. I will ocassionally use a photoshop program to manipulate a picture if I need to. Tthen I usually import it into PPT.
