How to model a T-90
Posted: Wednesday, December 01, 2010 - 03:26 AM UTC
Help to produce a proper T-90. Anyone can add information. I will try to post updated information at the top of this thread to make a quick, one stop information source, but it will be kept intentionally focused as quick help. Detailed discussion will still remain in the thread itself. All contributions welcome.

Who manufactures a T-90 in 1/35 scale? I have a plan for a dio involving a modern Russian tank, a BMP-3, and a MAZ late production.

HI Matt,
unfortunately there is no T-90 OOTB right now.
A number of conversions are available but few are worth the money. Your best (and even unique accuracy wise) solution is the expensive Miniarm range of sets to modifiy the Tamiya T-72.

Zvesda, where is your T-90 in Styrene?????? I KEEP WAITING, albeit impatiently, for it. Then we can build a decent late model T-72 or T-90.

Well, at the recent Toyfair they supposedly listed it as the third quarter of 2011. I remain mildly skeptical. . .

I agree, I think we may end up rushing out and buying their long awaited T-90 only to find out it is their old T-72 base kit along with some plastic stuff that replicates the old Kirin resin set.

I bought both Miniarm conversions for T-90 on Allegro for about 30EUR. I made a really good deal
But if I remember right- the seller had one set left. If you are interested in- I will try to contact him.

Hi Matt, the Zvezda has produced recently the model of T-90 tank and it is a beautiful model, complete and well printed.
A friend of my group has already purchased it and he has already assembled it.
I invite you to see the pictures "on the benchwork" which we published in the "Gallery" section of our website at this link: http://www.masterminiatures.it/gal/t-90.php.
My friend has made it "out of the box" with only small variations and / or corrections, given the high precision of the molds of Zvedza.
Good job ...
Gianfranco
PS: they will be soon available also photographs of the tank finished and painted.

Hello guys,
for the periodic updating of the Gallery of our site, the link to the model of the T 90 in the construction phase of our friend Claudio Cadignani has changed since we added new pictures of the model painted by Gian Luca Cocchi.
Here's the new link to the full model: http://www.masterminiatures.it/gal/t90.php
Excuse us for the problem.
Cheers

for the interested people, some insight into the anti rocket defence of T90, it's Russian I know, but the pictures do kinda explain what the reactive armour and Shtora systems came to be

Which model does the Zvezda kit represent? The T-90A welded turret I would guess judging by the geometry.

I make a T90A, but, well, it's 1/100 scale.

Hi guys,
I remember 6 or 7 yrs ago there wasn't a single T-90 at 1:35 scale..
Now we have Zvezda, Meng and Trumpeter.. go figure.

Yes! I'd like to see a good review/build review
At least between the T-90A kits. I already have the Meng offering, but I'd like too see if I'm missing something. Best regards.
José.

T90A's in Chechnya, what units would they have been in. got my meng a coupla days ago and thinking of doing one that saw actual combat, which I suspect the decals don't depict. thx

There were no T-90A's or T-90's in Chechnya OR the minor scrap with Georgia. T-80BV, T-72 & 72BM were in both conflicts, but no T-90.
