Steffen has sent us photos of his latest build - a very nicely completed Tamiya Spit Mk. Vb in full desert camo, with a bundle of aftermarket extras. And he still considers it OOB ... well, kind of!

Hi Rowan and Steffen,

And he still considers it OOB ...

Yes, for Steffen, OOB has a different meaning: Out Of the Boxes...

The model looks nice. I have a maybe dumb question: the gear legs are painted in the underside color (blue), weren't they supposed to be grey or maybe interior green? I don't know the answer myself, just wondering...

Hi Jean-Luc

I went with the Tamiya instructions. I found this a bit strange myself, but I had no motivation to research this, so it is all Tamiyas fault ... also the Aboukir conversions were kind of field reworks, e.g. Victory stated that there should be no stencils except for the walk lines on the wing ....

But I I am open for suggestions...

viele Grüße

Steffen
