Use correction fluid or tape for masking clear parts. The theory is sound. Anybody else ever try this method?

No I haven't but I have used and still do use plain o'l white Elmer's glue. I mask the edges first the apply the white glue using a small brush. Once dry and painted just simply peel away.

How does the white out correction fluid work?

Happy Modeling,

the correction fluid method should work the same as liquid masking or white glue. I'm leaning towards the tape version and think I will try it on a practice model first. I'll post my results so everyone can see how/if it works.

havent ever tried this method, but rubber cement should be just as easy, if not easier to use for this type of thing since rubber cement is easier to remove.
also, ive heard of using types of non drying putties or even silly putty

I tried silly putty. It's bout the biggest mess of things I ever made. The gun turrets have tiny little windows that I'm having no luck with. They are to small to brush on and(when I tried liquid masking) just peeled right off. I will try rubber cement, have some in the garage. Thanks.
