I'm now on my second Dukw. I have many reference pics. Some of which show assemblies on the wheels which were I believe, concerned with auto adjustment of the tyre presure for driving on different surfaces. It seems to consist of a square profile rod containing an air-line entering each hub from the dukw's main body. Does anybody know any more info on these? Such as which vehicles were fitted with them? Which periods if applicable? Does anybody know where I could find out more? I have been lead to believe that most Dukw's were fitted with them and yet I've seen loads of finished models without the wheel covers that don't have them?

Hi Teacher;

My suggestion, while waiting for an answer on this site, is to post your exact question on Track-Link: http://www.track-link.net/ , in the WW2 section.

There are a couple of guys on that site, especially Kurt Laughlin, who can answer this question almost down to the hour of the first installation.

Hi Teacher! I've got a question for you. Are your reference pics only of american DUKWs or you've got some from other countries too? I would be interested in the markings but not af the american ones.
Thanks

Thanks Paul I'll give that link a go. Those pics of the attachments will be really useful, thanks Jason. Fabio? Sorry but they're all American. If I come across any others I'll let you know.
