Here is a Portfolio which shows only a small part of Torsten Rossmann's (BlackWidow) 1/48 scale aircraft model collection. Torsten builds his models out of the box and likes them "Factory fresh"

Hi Torsten

Nice work! I particularly like the Eastern Front Fw 190 in its field-applied camouflage.

All the best

Great work, Torsten. A very nice and diversified portfolio. Especially the the KI-45 camouflage looks really good.

Thanks for sharing

Nice to see your portfolio and very refreshing to see well built, clean models.

Very nicely done Torsten.
I must admit to not being a fan of the clean look but, I must admit, that it takes a lot of skill to produce, as you can't hide any mistakes with the weathering. I find myself admiring your builds because they are so well done.
Thanks for sharing.

After returning from holidays I can finally say thanks for your comments, guys!

@Rowan
This Fw 190 A-4 was originally flown by Major Hubertus von Bonin, Geschwaderkommodore (CO) of JG 54 between July and December 1943. He was shot down and killed on 15. Dec. 1943 whilst attacking Il-2 Stormoviks near Gorodok. He achived 77 kills, 4 of them during the Spanish Civil War.
It took me quite some time (and nerves) to paint this kit, as I had only the instructions from Hasegawa. I couldn't find any other profile. Finally Mark58 sent me a profile and some b/w photos of this aircraft and I think, the colors are correct.

@Jesper
The Ki-45 is one of my favourite aircrafts of WW2 and so I was quite happy when Hasegawa came out with this new kit. I had to build it right away. It is pretty difficult to paint and it took me about 10 weeks to build it. I never needed more time for a kit before. Fortunatly there are some painting tips by Jean-Luc here on Aerocale, when he built his Dragon Killer. So thanks for that!
The originally aircraft was flown by Lieutenant Isamu Kashiide, one of the home defense aces. With reference to his personal records he achived an incredible 26 kills of Superfortresses, which would made him the top B-29 killer. Though this aircraft had "only" a 20 mmm canon and two 12,7 mm machine guns, he prefered his other "Toryu" with a 37 mm canon. Kashiide suvived the war and died in 2003. In September 1985 he met a former navigator of a B-29 he shot down over Tokyo 40 years earlier.

@Karl and Mal
Yes, I prefer the clean, factoryfresh, museumslike, way of my aircrafts. Though I must admit, that a little weathering also looks good on some aircraft. But in the past I have noticed, that some modellers do a little too much of weathering. At the moment it seems to be "state of the art" but I like to swim against the stream. I also don't like models where every possible hatch is open so you don't recognize the type ("Is this a Me 109 or a Spitfire? Oh no, it seems to be a Mustang."). But this is only my personal taste.

If you like to know more about my other models, just let me know.

Ciao
Torsten
