Hello friends!

I'm a new here but I watching this great forum a long time ago.
I'm building the Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-3 early version the plane will be leutnant Baikov's machine. It's the very unusual "zebra-stripped" MiG.
The Trumpeter kit is very good it has beautiful rivet detail, but poor fitting.
The shape is correct.

After the building I ariived to the painting stage (my favourite )
What do you think about the upperwing painting?Should it be clean AII green,or was stripped? If it was stripped, the stripes continuing from the wing root to the wing tip?Or from the leading edge to the end of the wing?

Sounds like an interesting build, Istvan. I have this kit in my stash. Where are the fit problems with the kit? Fuselage? wings?

Good choice for camouflage scheme. I have no pictures of the the upper side, but I would guess the wings were also camouflage with stripes. I would think they went from front of the wing towards the rear edge.

Could you share some pictures of your build?
