A good choice. I have built this kit and it builds into a nice Tomcat with a little tender loving
care. Some have said the nose is a little off, I haven't noticed this myself. But honestly who cares.

Agree with them guys, the winged thingy is very addictive, it takes superhuman will power as I possess to over come this addiction, I was there, and I came through, so I can proudly say "Though I walk through the valle of the shadow of the winged thingy, I shall have no fear, because I am AN EXCLUSIVE GERMAN ARMOR MODELER" As for you Anders, I am sorry, you have no such willpower, hence, you will turn into a plane builder in no time. #:-) #:-) #:-) (++) (++)

I think this campaign was origininated from the proposed F14 group build, so we should limit it to 50s to present naval avaiations. If you ask my honest opinion. I think even 50s is a stretch, I would like to see like real modern stuff (since we don't have many of them), that is Vietnam era till now. but since so many interests were placed for early jets, so I think 50 will do. But I think maybe for this campaign, we should just stay modern.

:-) Stug, I think it was me that requested including WWII stuff? Don't worry about this on my account, I will happily build (or do I assemble?) my Skyraider, or my A7E. Dave is correct, this campaign stems from the original F-14 build and should be kept more modern. The 50's or 60's is early enough. :-)

Okay - I got the award as being "Wings of Gold". (Although I was in the US Air Force - silver will always look great to me!)

I've just sent your Campaign information upstairs for approval and creation of an "official" Campaign Page.

I'll update the Docket with the new entrants in a few seconds...

I'm guessing a Blue Angel would be all right here? I would like to start a little early in hopes of getting it done in time for a couple of local shows in late summer.

I'd be using the Mongram/Hasegawa kit w/ Resin Super Fox intakes and aftermarket decals. Hopefully that's okay, I'd love to have a pair of gold wings in my profile!

Phantom I'm sorry to say we're not starting til september, If you were to have another kit for the start it would be cool. I might suggest doing some of the other Blue Angle aircraft. I'm assuming you doing an A-4. so there are decals available for the F-4J and F-18 in Blue Angle markings!!! hope that helps STUG

That's cool Stug. You're right I'm building the Skyhawk, and hoping to get it done relatively quickly. I'll keep the campaign in mind though and see what I can come up with. There's gotta be something else around here that flies off a boat.
