April 17: A U.S. Air National Guard F-16 drops at least one laser-guided bomb on Canadian forces near Kandahar. The Canadian Defense Ministry said four Canadians were killed and eight injured.

The victims were identified as Sgt. Marc Leger, Cpl. Ainsworth Dyer, Pvt. Richard Green and Pvt. Nathan Smith

The soldiers were members of the 3rd Battalion of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

You are gone but not forgotten.

Yes it IS a sad day... My family's heart goes out to the families of the four that were lost

Friendly fire is always tragic. Especially for the pilot. Along with the four killed and the other injured, I think also of those involved in the bombing run...
