Outstanding Jean-Luc, are the rings around the cowling real chrome or were they painted? I really like the exhaust staining on that bare metal. Good job on the vehicles too. Good composition and photography. Great build, thanks for posting Rowan, Wingman out.

You know Jean-Luc, I'm sure you are tired of hearing it, but I'm not tired saying it: Well done!!
The La-7 is one of my favorite WWII aircraft. There is just something about the lines of the wings and fusealage, just very purposeful looking, yet elegant, like the hero's personal airplane out of a 1930's comic book.

What kit is it? And yes, how did you get the metal rings so glossy? Also, is that a ZIS-5?

I've built the model from the regular boxing (without PE) of Gavia's 1/48 scale kit. The Zis-5 Fuel Truck is a resin kit from Tarmac and the Gaz-67 is of course the Tamiya kit. The figures are from ICM.
The panel lines were done with Promodeller's new wash and the weathering with pastels and mud sticks from Tamiya.
The chrome cowling rings are made from self adhesive metal foil cut to shape using the decals as templates.
