Jason.

You're lucky you have a room. I have a table in our lounge diner, and the garage for spraying, but i'd love a whole room.

Can you carry on modelling whilst the mods are being done?

Andy

I do feel very fortunate to have my very own room to work in, the only down side to it, is that it's a bit anti-social sitting in it, modelling when swmbo is downstairs. I only tend to use it when I'm in the house alone.

I haven't really done any modelling since I've been back from the honeymoon, although I have got a Tamiya wespe half built on the dining room table, it's just a problem finding the time to work on it, when I'm spending all my spae time getting the workroom finished...

My SWMBO and i often don't talk - she makes jewellery and i do my modelling, but we are in the same room. Still wish i had a room to myself though.

Hi All,
Here's a few more pics of my progress, spent all week laying some carpet tiles (cheapish ones from B & Q). I'm just waiting to move the desk I'm going to use from our spare room, to it's nice new home.
Can't wait to get it sorted, maybe by next weekend I'll have the desk in place... and then maybe I can be a little anti-social, but then again we've only been married 3 months........

Looking good Jason.

Will you be gracing us with your presence at a show this year?

Would be nice to put a face to the name.

Hi Andy,

I am hoping to get to a show and meet up with you all, I was hoping it was going to be Milton Keynes (as I was born just down (or up) the road in Bletchley, but cash is a bit low (in fact very low), and I've got to work that weekend ( ), I maybe able to make one as we approach the warmer weather and my financial position will have improved a lot by then (I hope)

Nice one Jason. I too am lucky in that I have my own room for modelling, it's actually the largest bedroom and there still isn't enough room. Especially now that I am producing "Miracle Masks" from there as well. I have to go outside to spray paint, but I have a nice spray booth built in the back of my workshop. It isn't ideal though and I'm planning on sorting out the attic for that job.
Good luck with the refurbishment and I hope we see you at a show soon, bring SWMBO

Looking good Jason.
Im getting ready to reorganise my modelling room pretty soon.
Ive started to look for a new desk around the charity/house clearance shops.
Its not the easiest thing to do is it?
Biggest problem for me is all the reference material Ive managed to acumulate over the years.
I need to create a bit more space so I can add to the stash

Hi Nigel,

Yep!, it's coming along fine, it's just taking me longer than expected. I was quite lucky, as we already had the desk, it's an Ikea desk (am I allowed to say that on here??? ) that we bought for the pc when we first moved in, and it was surplus to requirements, so me having it was the perfest solution, I've know idea where to start looking if I'd had to buy one. I did have an old school table as my workbench, but it wasn't ideal. Housing the reference material is a tough one, my problem is where to put all the military mags I've got......

Andy,

All I need to do now is find some time to get in there and do something (maybe monday, if I'm lucky).

It's not all tracked thinies in my stash, I've got a Revell Messerschmitt (not sure which one, but it's the night fighting type), and there's a Tamiya MKI Spitfire there too, (although they may be in the loft with the rest of the stash......)
