Super Detail Set for WNW kit

Since the growth of 1:32, early aviation has enjoyed the release of fine subject. HGW is in the lead with detail sets for many all plastic kits. HGW has done a "Super Detail Set" #132044 1:32 for the WNW Albatros D.V / D.Va kit.

Set Contains

#132055 Albatros Seatbelts (micro fibre). (Review done at Aeroscale previously).
#132056 Albatros Surface Details (Smaller set shown with the seatbelt set in Aeroscale review).

Wood grain Decal (light wood) - Tester (Review on 1:48 full set done at Aeroscale previously)
The wood grain decal is called a tester.

Each set comes with individual card stock or paper instructions.

14 @ Spark plug cable ends to cylinders (2 extras, part #1.

06 @ water pipe connections between the cylinders part #7.
02 @ Magneto wire connectors to the starting magneto part #10.
01 @ Circular union boss plate for the forward connections of the upper & lower halves of the crank case part #8.
01 @ Carburetor linkage unit for inflight compensations part #4. This is a part seen on 180hp D.IIIaü types.

The wood grain decal

This is called a tester but should be considered a teaser to get you interested in purchasing the separate full sheets. (I did a review on the 1:48 wood grain sheets here at Aeroscale).

SUMMARY
Highs: Good quality PE amd micro fiber straps items.
Lows: PE needs scouring and scraping for better adherance to surfaces. Some items are two dimensional and require thickening for a better representation. Masks are pretty skimpy compared to "other" versions.
Verdict: While pricey it comes with some decent details. These are some of the only aftermarket detail items available so in one set there is value.
