These 2 moulds are to enable you to produce a copy of the fur texture for all those areas that you need to give you piece the ‘feel’ of animal fur.
My use
I tried both mould using my personal blend of half “Magic Sculpt” half “Duro”
The first thing I tried was press in via my fingers after flattening out the clay. I found that the resistance on the mound was so small that I was not successful in getting a good image , I then tried both mould using card provided in the pack. I did get a good transfer of the image but the clay stuck to the card. I then tried some release agent (Vaseline) on a piece f Plastic card and then got a very good Image which I draped over what I wanted to create and by some mild mixing the fur gave a very good representation using both heavy and light fur and using it for fantasy 28mm cloaks to large 300mm bust animal cloak
Assessment
I had a bit of difficulty at first getting an image with the moulds but with a bit of experimentation I produced an image I was very happy with- I actually used the light fur for one of my convert 28mm dwarves as a cloak and used the heavy fur for one of my original busts.

I have been painting figures since 1981 but it has not been since I meet Phil Walden that I have actually started to sculpt f...
Im amazed sometimes what is released as a "tool" for us modellers. This has to be one of the more unusual itms, but in saying that, I can imagine it being useful to sculptors and a huge time saver.
