About the figure
Josef "Sepp" Dietrich was one of Nazi Germany's most decorated soldiers and commanded formations up to Army level during World War II. Prior to 1929 he was Adolf Hitler's chauffeur and bodyguard but received rapid promotion after his participation in the murder of Hitler's political opponents during the Night of the Long Knives. After the war, he was imprisoned by the United States for war crimes and later by Germany for murder (source Wikipedia).
The figure comes in 130 x 100 x 30 mm.standard UP Miniaturen cardboard box. The front cover shows photo of the painted figure and can serve as a simple painting guide.
Inside the box, there is an A4 paper sheet including painting information and photos of Sepp Dietrich which would certainly serve as a guide.
Parts are protected in a zip bag and rest of the box is filled wit polyfoam pieces to avoid the risk of damage
The figure is sculpted by Ulrich Puchala and made up of 8 resin parts. The parts are cast clean and crisp in good details. There is some little need for clean up and sanding, don't forget it is a resin kit and would need also a bit filling of the seams before priming. However it is a clean resin kit.
Legs : He wears M36 German officer trousers and officer boots. On the right leg his right hand is situated. He is leaning against his leg.
Head : He wears officers service cap Schirmmütze<>. The facial details are well sculpted. Yes, he really looks like Dietrich. :) This piece dryfits well.
Torso : Casted in one piece. He wears a officer's feldbluse and decorated with eye catching medals. All these details are well sculpted.
Other pieces are his arms, pisto holster and his left hand holding binoculars.
The painter will have no problems regarding painting guides for this figure. He is a very well known WW2 general wearing traditional German officer's ubiform of WW2 period, so lots of reference can be find.
Absolutely a well detailed Sepp Dietrich figure. It seems to be a easy to assembly kit.
