To deprive the Third Reich of free aluminum, the Allies developed paper drop tanks to replace the metal ones.

Cast in buff resin in four parts, this pair of 1/24 108 gallon paper drop tanks are produced with good detail including the fuel line couplings, straps and mounting apparatus.

The castings are marred with several pinhole sized air bubble holes; two small rough areas on one of the castings. These blemishes appear to be easily removed and filled with minimal effort.
SUMMARY
Highs: Good detail.
Lows: Air holes and minor surface blemishes.
Verdict: These resin tanks offer another choice of long-range tanks for the new selection of 1/24 USAAF aircraft models. Assembly should be quick and easy.
