by: Ralph Emerson M. Dabao [ SHONEN_RED ]

The Kit
What you'll find in the kit:
3 sprues - 1 clear for the HUD and the canopy
Manual
Decals for the X-35B STOVL

Pros:
Excellent fit
Nicely detailed interior control panels
No flash
Detailed landing gear and thrust nozzles
Recessed panel lines

Cons:
Basic ejector seat
Closing the landing gears needed some surgery
Thrust nozzle is tilted 90 degrees
No weapons
Closed canopy

The Construction
Building this kit Out of the Box is a breeze! It has very nice fit and almost no gaps to fill. The plastic isn't brittle as Dragon ones and not as smooth as some Hasegawa/Tamiya molds. In fact, if it wasn't for the paints, I could have finished this in a day! Too bad most of the internal details would be covered by the closed canopy. Building this in flight mode needed some surgery because the nozzle is pointed downwards.

I would recommend this to anyone. Three thumbs up!
SUMMARY
The X-35 JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) will soon replace the current issued aircraft for the air force, navy and the marines with state of the art equipment, better survivability and stealth. There would be 3 versions: USAF - air to ground attack, USN - multirole and USMC - short take of and vertical landing (STOVL). Revell vave decided to make the STOVL variant.
