The MK47 is an advanced 40mm grenade launcher in use with US Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Rangers. The MK47 features an integrated computer assisted fire control systems and programmable ammunition.
At 39.6 lbs., the MK47 is significantly lighter than the 77 lb. MK19.
The MK 47 fires a range of 40mm grenades:

Once again, Legend Productions has come out with an outstanding product in their 3D line. Four different kits of the MK 47 are available, two being on tri-pods and the same two being vehicle mounted. This is one of the vehicle mounted kits. Unlike kit #LF3D037 having the smaller version of the 40mm grenade ammo can, this kit has the larger version of the ammo can.
The kit consists of 30 parts, all molded in gray resin. Extras are given for parts 9, 10, and 30 because they are so small. All the parts are easily removed from the pour blocks without damage to the part, unless you just have big fingers. Cleanup of the parts is a breeze with a sharp brand-new X-Acto blade. Two lengths of different diameter brass wire are provided for the cables. I went with lead wire instead since it is more flexible than brass wire.
The build was done in three sub-assemblies, the gun, gun cradle and sights, and the ammo box in rack. The cables where attached after all three sub-assemblies where put together.
