Introduction
Eduard's mask sets are a time saver, but masking the inside of the canopy has always been left to the modeller to figure out, be it painting the interior by hand or spraying the interior colour first, then the airframe colour afterwards on the outside of the canopy. But Eduard have come to the rescue with their new sets titled T-Face (stands for Two Face btw), which have the inside portions as masks.

In the bag

Packed in the now standard sealed bag, with a cardboard insert, the contents contain two sets of masks, one for outside and one interior, and a set of instructions.

Each set is made with the usual kabuki tape, and having used Eduard masks before they are easy to apply, leave no residue on the part and if you are careful when removing could be used again.
This set holds the interior co-pilots instrument hood glazing, all three of the main canopy parts, and four masks for the outrigger wheel hubs, so the tyres can be sprayed.

Although you don't need to "weed" (removing the unused parts of the masks) the sets, it odes make it a lot easier to see the parts for masking. Be careful though as the set has masks for the outriggers, which are fairly small.

Attaching the masks is simplicity itself, with each part fitting pretty much perfectly.
I found that attaching the outside masks first helps with aligning the interior portions, as the plastic parts do not benefit with raised frames on the inside, that are found on the exterior of the canopy.
As with most Eduard masks for large canopies, only the edges are supplied as masks, so for the two main hoods, the middle needs to be filled in with either a masking liquid or tape. The windscreen and interior console part have full masks supplied.

Instructions
The instructions are printed in a black and white line drawing and are well drawn and easy to follow, with the kit parts to be masked clearly marked. The instructions are easy to follow even if you have never attempted masks before.
As with all the latest Eduard sets and kits the instructions can be found on the product page on Eduard's website.

Harrier T.2/ T.4/ T.8 mask set
If you don't fancy masking the interior or don't feel its important then Eduard produce a mask set that just covers the outside areas of the canopy, as well as the outrigger wheels.
This set is basically the same as the T-Face set but with out the interior sheet (B sheet).

About Andy Brazier (betheyn)
FROM: ENGLAND - SOUTH EAST, UNITED KINGDOM

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...
