History
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly, or Super Tweet, is an American light attack aircraft developed from the T-37 Tweet basic trainer in the 1960s and 1970s by Cessna of Wichita, Kansas.

Two types of replacement tail cones are available from Pavla, one with one navigation light and the other with two navigation lights.
Not having the Trumpeter kit these parts are destined for, and just looking at some sprue shot photos, the kit has one navigation light as standard. I do have the old Monogram kit in the stash, which looks about the same as the Trumpeter kit, and that is what I have used for the comparison pics.
Pavla's replacement is cast as one piece and is more refined then both the Trumpy and Monogram part. A small casting block needs to be removed from the rear of the part. Both kits the tail cone is part of the fuselage halves, so surgery will be required to attach the Pavla replacement. This should be fairly easy as both kits have a seam line which is used as a cutting point.
As already stated one has one navigation light and the other two, this is the only difference in the parts. As for buying which one, it all depends on the particular aircraft you are modelling, whether it has one or two lights, as after looking on the web, I am still no closer to finding out what particular aircraft has what, as it does just seem random with all types of Dragonfly sporting either one or two types.
U 48-54 - Fuselage tail cone replacement with 1 navigation light.
U 48-55 - Fuselage tail cone replacement with 2 navigation lights.
Both are priced at £2.99 at Hannants.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.
SUMMARY
Highs: Well cast
Lows: None
Verdict: These are not a must have, unless the Dragonfly you are building has two tail lights, then you cant go far wrong with the two light replacement set.

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...
