1/32 USN Crew Figure With Holdback
  • move

by: Richard Tonge [ TINBANGER ]

Introduction
The crew member is a USN Green shirt and part of the Catapult crew responsible for the hook up of an aircraft to the catipult.

"The Hook-Up"
While the aircraft is being positioned onto the base of the catapult, the Cat Hook-Up Green shirt comes out and hooks the Holdback with holdback fitting into the aircraft landing gear
at the one end and into the zipper track at the other. At this point the aircraft is basically attached into the flight deck. No more brakes.

Contents
The model arrived in a 6" X 4" Ziplock style bag inside this we find the parts wrapped in bubble wrap and foam.
The 9 parts are cast in a cream coloured resin on 4 blocks.
All parts are free of any air bubbles.
The figure is made up of three parts ,the body and two arms and the Helmet which is cast on.
There are six Holdbacks which can be painted in colours for differnt aircraft types.

Instructions
There are no instructions but there is the packet insert which is in colour.
Paint colours are noted on the sheet but no FS numbers.

Conclusion
Due to low parts count this model should be a quick build.
The Holdbacks may need some care when removing them from the casting block.
