On 27th September Zvezda have published two new pictures of the Yak-3 model kit in 1/72 scale.

The Yak-3 fighter was so much dreaded by the Luftwaffe that the unexperienced pilots were ordered to avoid engadgement with the russian fighters "without an air intake under the engine". At least some war stories says so.

After more than 70 years since the end of war Zvezda gave us an opportunity to build this bird in 1/72 scale. What's interesting the boxart inscriptions says this is a "snap-fit" kit - doesn't require glue while building. Seems to be a good idea for a small gift for the youngests of us, for encouragement to modeling for example.

The only three views of the model are published on the producer website and doesn't say much about the quality. The plastic parts looks at least nice. The "glass" looks also to be clear and transparent. Boxart pictures shows the painting scheme from the "Normandie-Niemen" regiment so I think we can expect the same painting scheme and decal option inside the box.
