Kagero continues its line of informative books on WWI aircraft. Kagero. Albatros D.I - D.Va by Tomasz J. Kowalski was released for purchase on 25 June 2010. And Kagero has sent us a copy!
Messer Tomasz J. Kowalski has been writing early aviation monographs for many years. Many will remember his works on the Fokker E.V, Spad 7 -13 and now he has released his work (through Kagero) on the Albatros D.I - D.Va. The work horse of the Luftstreitkrafte in WWI the Albatros D. series carries some of the most colourful example of personal liveries. It will be interesting to see if this work follows the findings of the later Pete Grosz or is a rehash of old inaccurate materials. Personally I am expecting a good read.
