Eduard's newest scale wonder is a 1:48 version of the Albatros D.III licence built Autro-Hungarian concern "Oeffag". It was a finely improved version of the German originals from Johannistahl Germany.
Despite being of 1917 vintage, the Albatros D.III (Oeffag) was able to maintain a spot on the leading edge of fighter technology up to the end of WWI. Thanks to constant improvements and the installation of increasingly powerful engines, pilots of the Austro-Hungarian air force were able to gain at least 320 victories. The Alb. D.III airframes built by Oeffag(Abbreviated company name) were used in combat even after the war, namely with the Polish air force. The Poles bought 38 aircraft from 253.212 to 257 in 1919, and pressed them into
service against Bolshevik Russia.

What a wonderful modern age we live in.

Hi there The video may be fun - but the actual kit is far more so! It's odd though... I can't hear an orchestra playing while I tinker with it! Must build faster! - that's obviously what's wrong! All the best Rowan

Hi again I think I've figured it out. They don't play while you're only cleaning up sprue attachments and test-fitting parts. But I'm sure I heard a violin tuning up when I cemented a couple of pieces together last night - either that or it was one of our cats asking for his supper! All the best Rowan

Do you want to tell us that one of your cat cans play a violin?

Hi Michal Whatever it was, it was distracting! I've just realised I somehow managed to attach the cockpit floor upside down! Time for a hasty disassembly and repaint - it's a good job I hadn' t started woodgraining... All the best Rowan

The review is up and running. By the way if anyone complains about the trailing edges of the wing being too thick with the simulated tapes here is bit of fun.

Hi Michal No buildblog. I'm basically not going to do them anymore (except for the F-80 with Jean-Luc that I'm committed to). All the best Rowan
