Modelimex have released sprue shots of the latest in Amodel's well received series of 1:32 Nieuport fighters.
Kit #32004 represents the Nieuport 11 in the colourful markings of the Italian ace Alvaro Leonardi. Moulded using limited-run technology, "the Amodel Nieuport more than holds its own amongst stiff competition" (quote: Ray Rimell describing the Nieuport 16C).

Amodel's Nieuport 11 costs 55.00 € and is available from Modelimex - specialists in Eastern European short run kits, whose copyright pictures are used with permission.

Here is mine in 1:48. Nieuport XI N2123 was licence-built by Nieuport Macchi at Varese and was assigned to the 80a Squadriglia, most probably in 1917. Although I cannot confirm when it left the production line, it was with that unit in May 1917. It became the personal mount of Sgt. Alvaro Leonardi, who survived the war with a score of 8 confirmed victories. The first (and only) of those kills gained at the controls of Ni. 2123 was scored by Leonardi on the 24th May 1917, shooting down an Ufag L1 seaplane (L1 36 or L1 37). It seems that the ‘Fortunello’ was very popular as a personal marking with the pilots of 80a Squadriglia, as many of them had one, each of different features. Regards Alberto Casirati. This kit was built from the Nieuport 11 Eduard Profipack kit #8070. Fortunello was a derivative of the Happy Hooligan comics. If you extend his forehead he's a twin to Homer Simpson.

Thanks for sharing the news Rowan . The mouldings look good for what I can see in the pic's , the engine really grab my eye . Cockpit details are nice and busy . The wings however for some reason just don't look right to me , but that is me . Stephen , It is a pleasure viewing your past builds and the knowledge you bring with them, thanks for sharing as well
