The big news this month is the eagerly expected follow-up to Eduard's 1:32 Bf 109E-1, the 'E-4 - in many people's eyes the definitive "Emil", with wing cannon and square-framed canopy. Also on the kit front, the 1:48 Hellcat returns in a cut-down Weekend Edition.
May looks set to bring a bumper crop of etched upgrades. Eduard continue to pile detail into Revell's big Ju 88A, while the Trumpeter P-51D is treated to no less than 4 sets. Fans of classic British jets should be in for a real treat, with a host of extras for Airfix's quarterscale TSR.2 - used in combination with Pavla's resin sets, the results should be eye-popping!

No news of next month's BIG-ED sets yet - Eduard will be releasing details of those later - but here's the list of May's aircraft items announced so far:
