Hi Jean-Luc you should better link to the whole podcast area of HLJ as 1. the series of podcasts on Nuremberg is not yet finished (3 so far) 2. the other reports and interviews are really interesting too (e.g. Cartograph) I also found this interview very interesting. ... curious what Tamiya will issue in 2 or 3 years (when they research now that does mean nothing for this year or early next year ...) Mr. Tamiyas account on the Lanc being not very welcome in Germany has surly some truth in it (at least for me) but I think the faaar superior argument for not buying this thing is the enormous price here in Germany. I think many of those who want to have that kit will buy it via one of the Japanese / Asian online shops .. thus not much gain in Germany ... all the best Steffen

Hi Steffen, If you look under the video, there is a link to the podcast area of the HLJ website. You did not look closely... The interview is interesting in that Mr. Tamiya said that his company will be more "agressive" and will release more stuff this year than last year. It's quite the contrary of the previous rumors on the subject. Now all we have to do is wait and see if this will also have an impact on new aircraft releases. They had fun about the Lancaster and the Germans but I must say I don't like these kind of jokes... Jean-Luc

Hi Jean-Luc I did see it, but I wanted to lay a bit more emphasis on the fact that there is more than just this interview Well, I do not think that when Mr. Tamiya "ordered his staff" to release more that there is any chance to do new kits from measuring to tooling in under a year, ... rather the timeframe I gave above. As I told you already I was very disappointed by Big T's news in Nuremberg. It is o.k. to keep the big news for their home show in Shizuoka, but all they had in Nuremberg were re-issues (o.k. the Tilly was just released, but no toy fair news). Also the Fw190F-9 I just started is an old tool. Granted, this is economical, because the cost for this is pretty low, BUT with the model budget shrinking and the people getting older (thus having many old stuff in the stash already), I think anyone with just re-issues will have a hard stand to get some of that budget. Especially as Tamiya is in the high price segment of the plastic model kits market. Still, the interviews are fun and even more the reports of Scott and Brian .. so everyone have a look!!! all the best Steffen
