Air Graphics will be releasing a new 1/72 decal set in the new year featuring some of the FAA aircraft operating from the audacious-class aircraft carrier HMS Eagle

Interestingly HMS Eagle was planned to have operated the Phantom FG1, but during trials it was discovered that the steel of the flight deck and blast deflectors couldn’t cope with the re-heat from the Spey engines. The cost of refitting with water cooled apparatus for the steel would have been too costly.
