Re-usable die-cut camo mask set – All versions featured in #83212 are included
The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

The Su-27 Arctic Blizzard Camo is applied on one of the export versions of the Flanker – Su-27SMK. It is a demo scheme, used mostly at airshows and is one of the most spectacular painted fighter jets from Russia.
This camouflage served as an inspiration for F-16 Blizzard Camouflage scheme, applied in USAF to one of their Viper Aggressors. It is not the same, however even darker, the pattern follows similar appearance. As with many other Flanker schemes, it is simulated in Aggressor squadrons to replicate enemy aircraft during training.

Flanker Camouflages of the 21st century show completely innovative approach towards aircraft painting concept in Russia. Contrary to the single- or dual-gray camouflage schemes popular around the world, these aircraft present more eccentric, but practical way of covering the jets with low-visible patterns, especially in high speed low-level operations.
Good example are Su-35 camouflage patterns, as well as Su-30 paint schemes, one of which is very close to the one presented here: Venezuelan Flankers.

72nd scale kits that are suitable for this camouflage scheme are many, however most attractive results are achievable with latest releases from the last couple of years. Su-27SMK might need some modifications in parallel to the standard Su-27, however the conversion is very doable. Su-35 kits available on the market are usable too, however they lack the airbrake of the standard Su-27.
