The name Radu Brinzan should need little introduction - he's the master pattern maker behind some of the superb resin and photo-etch kits and accessories produced by EagleParts and MDC.

But as well as producing patterns, Radu has also developed a unique new PE folding tool - the Flip-R10.

The Flip-R10 works by the same principle as a hinged bending brake. The photoetched parts are held in place between the base and the bending attachment, then they are bent by pivoting the hinged bending plate. The tool can also be used in the more "traditional" manner whereby the bending plate is used as a blade to bend the parts.

The Flip-R10 comes flat packed and is made from stainless steel. It can handle photoetched parts up to a length of 10 cm (approx 4 in). In most cases, fingertip pressure is all that's needed to hold the parts securely - otherwise, small bulldog clips (not provided) can be attached as seen in the accompanying photos.
