Hasegawa are due to release a new tooled Kawanishi H8K2 Type 2 Flying boat.
Hasegawa are doing a new tooling on one of their flying boats the Kawanishi H8K2 Type 2 flying boat was first released back in 1969, 47 years later it is being new tooled and I am very impressed with the cad image of it. Due sometime later this year it is looking likely to be very much in demand when it arrives in the shops.
No news yet on the decal sheet.

Sorry Black_sheep it is 1/72nd scale like you I have dreamed many times that they would release a 1/48th scale flying boat for me it would have to be Short Sunderland my favourite of all the flying boats

Some day they just might make in in 1/48 - they make bigger acft in that scale. Until then, I am thrilled about this re-tool. The interior and description of the pilots is enticing.
