HobbyBoss caused quite a stir with their entrance onto the 1/48 scale AFV stage (including superdetailed T-34s) - and for some time their website has carried an intriguing "coming soon" under the 1/48 scale Aircraft tag...
Thanks to Andy Brazier (Betheyn) for the heads up that details are beginning emerge of the new HobbyBoss quarter-scale Aircraft range.

So far it's all jets:

Mirage IIIC Fighter
Mirage IIICJ Fighter
N/AW A-10 Thunderbolt II
A-10 Thunderbolt II
and an F/A-18A Hornet.

A quick search found the accompanying Mirage III pictures on HLJ. According to the HLJ catalogue, the Mirage IIC Is "an all-new-tool kit of the Mirage IIIC. Features recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, landing gear and bays, exhaust and a full range of weapons options including AS-30, Magic II, Matra 530 C/K and E/M missiles, JL100R rocket pods, Mk82 bombs and drop tanks. Markings are for three French Mirages, one from EC 3/10 "Vexin", two from EC 2/10 "Seine" as well as one from No. 2 Squadron South African Air Force."

Andy has received an e-mail from HobbyBoss quoting the Mirages "at 15.99 USD and the other 3 at 34.99 USD. " - but that is at odds with HLJ. Watch out for more details!

No wonder if you only publish OLD NEWS :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Honestly I've seen them for quite a while on HLJ but no review anywhere ... cannot remember if they ever had a green flag cheers Steffen

They are listed as NEW releases at Lucky Model. But as "Available", and not as in stock, so I don't think Ray has gotten his shipment yet.

The Mirage kits have now been posted as being in stock at Lucky Models, along with the A-10's.

Basically, it says that it's a direct copy of the Eduard kit.

Has anyone seen any reviews on these kits yet? Especially those two Hogs. They are awfully inviting seeing as how they are in stock at LM.
