After the understandable excitement over Wingnut Wings' new Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 kits, a chance glimpse of a magazine advert by Stephen Lawson revealed something arguably even more exciting waiting in the wings - a pair of true 1:32 behemoths in the shape of the Felixstowe F.2A in Early and Late versions. Now the latest shots show the colour schemes for each variant and a preview of the interior detail.

The announcement has really caught everyone by surprise - and, in fact, with the kits not due to arrive at Wingnut Wings until mid-December, the company isn't guaranteeing delivery in time for Christmas. If it does arrive to late to catch the last posting date, I can imagine Christmas festivities being put on hold until January for a lot of WW1 modellers!
