Those intakes look troubling. I hope that's an early test shot and not another manifestation of Trumpeter's strange shape-blindness.

The box artwork show them a completely different shape to the photo of the built kit. Perhaps the artist sneezed when he drew that bit . Andy

The box art is much closer to their actual shape. I'm hoping that the test builder was the one who sneezed.

I might be wrong, but the box artwork is correct for a C, and the test build is correct for the A, so perhaps they are going to do two versions. Andy

Relax guys, if you look closely, you will see that the air intake on the kit is shorter than the real thing.... As he was sneezing, the guy forgot to glue the angled forward piece of the air intake... :-)

I don't know, Jess may be right. Look at this photo of the real thing, taken from a similar angle: LINK Note where the lip ends, under the rear cockpit on both the built-up model, and the real aircraft.

The T-38 intake has a very complex shape which does not lend itself well to the necessities of injection moulding. I've rarely seen a kit which gets it completely correct. The only one which gets it properly is the Sword 1/48 kit. All the others just give up and use an F-5 intake.
