One of the biggest gaps for modeling modern Russian aircraft in 1:48 is being filled by AvanteGarde Model Kits in the form of a newly tooled 1:48 MiG-31.
The release is currently slated for early 2014. Thus far only CAD models have been shown and are available via the company's Facebook page:

The kit will cover most of the major Foxhound variants out of the box including the MiG-31, MiG-31B, MiG-31BM and MiG-31DZ. It will include not only the characteristic R-33 (AA-9 "Amos") missiles, but also R-40, R-60 and R-73 types as well.

As further details become available we will keep you up with the latest!

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.
