It's been a while coming, but AMtech's long-awaited P-40Q is firmly back underway - as can be seen from these latest pics direct from AMtech themselves.
A number of problems saw AMtech's 1/48 scale P-40Q stalled for almost 2 years but, thankfully, this exciting project is underway again and due for imminent release.

AMtech have announced that they are using 3-D computer design for this and all future projects - a change which has required all their previous design work to be re-drawn for the new technique.

Just for fun, AMtech have included artwork of the P-40Q dressed up as "Big Beautiful Doll", but don't worry - the actual release will feature authentic markings for the original prototypes.

Along with the CAD drawings are photos of the resin masters for the weighted wheels. These will also fit the recent Hasegawa P-40N - so expect to see them available separately.

There's no definite release date yet - it'll be early next year, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more details of this and other new AMtech kits are available.
