Hobby Boss have published today on the official website few pictures and details of the incoming release of the late version of F6F-3 Hellcat.

The model kit represents the late version of the fighter. Producer have put into the box five sprues of light-grey plastic, separate engine cowling, two sprues of clear plastic with six parts for the cockpit glazing and probably the gunsight and a decal sheet. There are in total 110 parts on these sprues.

While building the kit we will be able to choose the optional position of flaps which are made as separate parts. Also the wings are made as separated what enables the modeler to build them in fixed or folded position. There is also a selection of drop tank, rockets and bombs.

The kit provides two painting options which are:

• F6F-3, "13", VF-16, USS Lexington, December 1943
  
• F6F-3, "23", no.42823, VF-14, USS Wasp CV-18, 1944
