Operational Overview The war in the Pacific was often fought at close quarters with little quarter asked or given. Now 70 years later these warriors are growing fewer by the day, this campaign will honor their efforts and sacrifices as well as showing what might have been if Operation Downfall was actually launched in 1945-46. Participants are encouraged to learn as much about what they are trying to depict as possible through research. Links to useful sites and historical information will be posted in the campaign thread to assist participants. The Rules and Regs The model being depicted must have served in the Pacific or Asian Theater of Operations between 7 December 1941 and 1945.
For those building an Operation Olympic/Cornet subject the cutoff date would be March 1946 which would have been X-Day on Honshu.
Must post at least 1 photo of completed build in the gallery.
