Operational Overview This campaign honours those unsung heroes of Maritime Patrol. Long boring hours spent looking at the wavetops, yanking and banking at 0 feet chasing the elusive steel shark, endless frustration and the satisfaction at finally nailing the target. Hunting smugglers, druggies and terrorists is merely the latest addition to the tasks associated with sweeping the bad guys out of the sea.
The possibilities range from the Felixstowe of the early days, The RAF's 'tween wars flying boats, Fw 200, Wimpy, Whitley, Liberator, Fortess, Sunderland in the Second World War, Lancaster, Neptune, Shackleton, Argus, Orion, Tracker, Viking, Nimrod, IL 38, Bear F and many more from the Cold War and beyond.
