Hi all
This is a companion thread for the 'Thunderbolts' thread going on. This is for pics of all our P-47's finished within that thread. By the looks of it, this may turn into a very nice photo album by the time everything ever gets completely done. There are some really nice builds going on at the moment and more keep joining in all the time which is great.

Here is a link back to the main 'Thunderbolts' thread. This goes back to the last page. I will keep trying to update this as the pages keep getting added onto the main thread. I'll also try to keep an easy to get to link in some of my posts to this thread for anyone to view and/or add their jug pics to the album.

Here is the re shot pics of my Academy 1/72 P-47D Thunderbolt. Built OOB with the useless Academy decals .
Painted with Alclad 2 Polished aluminium, with the darker panel lines sprayed with a mix of Alclad dark aluminum with a drop of jet exhaust .
Tamiya acrylics for the rest and weathered with W+N oils.

Tamiya 1/72 P-47D Razorback. Built OOB, with Tamiya and xtracrylix paints and W+N oils for the washes.
An absolute joy to build from start to finish.

Academy 1/72 P-47 D, built OOB, but i threw away those hopeless Academy decals and got some nice A.M ones instead . In the markings of Lt Col. Francis Gabreski, 61 FS. 56 FG, Boxted, Anglia, June 1944.

That is a great looking P-47 you finished there Fred .... very well done
That was really cutting it close with the end of the duel but you were able to pull it off. Excellent!!
You should definitely enter it into the model of the quarter contest. It is a very nice build.

Great modeling,
Wayne
