The Academy P36 finished OOB with Alclad ll and Gunze acrylics.

Nice P-36! You made a great job on the Bare metal finish. A beautifull clean job!
The pictures are great too! It was a good idea to choose the dark background. Well done!

Nice job Steve.

That Alclad n/m finish looks great! One small trick that might make a fine model look even better would be to paint the silver-doped fabric control surfaces slightly differently (maybe just a light coat of semi-gloss varnish). That would make them stand out from the metal airframe.

Mal- The kit is most rudimentary, although there are issues at wing to fuselage. The most glaring issue is the engine mounting, if you follow the instructions, the engine will be recessed too far into the cowling, and you won't have prop clearance.

Merlin - Yes I know, I got a little lazy, I should have matted the control surfaces and installed the rigging. I'll get around to it one of these days!
