Hi Joker, I’ve got some info for you. PR-E was piloted by Sgt Alan N.Feary, the only Sergeant Pilot with 609 Squadron during the summer of the Battle of Britain and was killed when he baled out of his Hurricane Mk I(serial number N3238) after combat with a Bf 109 over Yeovil at 16:30hrs on the 7th of October 1940.
This contradicts with 609 being a spitfire squadron as far as I know. Maybe it was someone else’s Hurricane or someone mistook a Hurricane for a Spitfire I don't know ??
Are you sure you want PR-E, and not PR-F ?? PR-F was a spitfire with serial number X4590.
