And what about a French Air force or French "aéronavale" set ?

An increase in choice is always a good thing, I guess.

But me personally, I am totally lost in the many paint brands there are

The only set Hataka do for the French colours is -
Standard colours of French aircraft in 1940
Contains the following colours (acrylic paints, water-based):
HTK-A079 – Brun Foncé – Used for upper surfaces in 1938 standard French AF camouflage scheme (one of variants of recommended „brown” colour)

Me too.
I used to love the WEM enamel Colourcoats range (even if they were a bit smelly, but I now mostly use Vallejo ModelAir.

I still use Humbrol enamel (I grew up with it :-) ) but I hate those miserable jars.

I am also using Tamiya acrylics, some modelmaster enamel, aclad II .... and I recently bought some MIG paints to give it a try.

Maybe I should have sticked to Humbrol but then, those jars ...

I hope, to find a brand that I can stick to, having so many brands makes airbrushing (which thinner to use, airpressure ... are paints incompatible?) more complicated.
